Only 3 weeks left before I head off to Atlantic city to fight for a spot
among the top
three to qualify for Mr Olympia 202lb.
The closer I get the harder it gets but what better inspiration than seeing
my pictures on the cover of ProBody and 7 pages interview (www.probody.fi
), one of Scandinavia's better magazine with impressive articles and pictures from one of the more talented bodybuilding photographers in the field Mike Siren. Working with
Mike was a great pleasure and experience, he has a real talent and eye for
taking the best shot possible. Thank you Mike!
My thoughts are now on Atlantic city. I have come a long way and with the
years many of my dreams have gradually come true, winng my first bb
competition, competing among the best in Scandinavia, Europe and the World
as an amateur, and receiving my Pro card in LA last year. It's been a long
journey and I can feel that I'm getting closer to my ultimate dream. There
are no shortcuts and, as in life, it's all about your hard work, persistence
and patience. If I don't succeed in qualifying for Mr O then I know that I
have done my best and that I have to work even harder next year. But I am in
better shape than ever before and now it will be up to the judges to see if
I deserve my chance. If I don't succed be sure to know that this will only
make me more determined and motivated to come back even better next year.
So my friends, don't be afraid of your dreams, the pleasure in reaching them
lies in all the hard work and the journey and the
challenges that you overcome along the way.
I hope you are all well. As always thanks for your support.

Six weeks to go before getting back on stage. And it feels great.
But it didn't start that way. This time around I thought that I would make
minor change to my dieting routine and introduce the zero carb-high fat-high
protein diet sooner than usual. Big mistake or not. Although I introduced the low
carb diet for the last 5 weeks last time which worked fine two weeks into
the diet now and I hit the wall. No energy, no hunger and hardly any motivation,
that's what zero carbs and a keto diet does to you. Bear in mind that
training is still going on and you can imagine how it all adds up. And my
body wasn't responding as expected either.
The zero carb diet is well proven and known to work, but this diet works
better for more overweight bodies that need to lose a lot of body fat. In
other words for those that bulk up substantially during the off season or
are overweight/obese. For me personally, this diet is far from ideal since I
keep my body fat levels relatively low all year round and have adapted to
dieting with carbs in my diet but with less fat and more cardio. Lesson to
be learnt friends: Find what works and stick to it!
So now I'm back on my normal dieting routine, allowing some carbs especially
early on in the day and cutting the fat out. Already my body has kick
started my metabolism and I'm already starting to see the results.
Motiviation is not the same as it used to be so I have to work twice as hard
to keep my motivation up. Dreams should not be easy to reach, otherwise what
would be the point in achieving them?
Now I feel more alive than ever having to fight and work twice as hard hard
to achieve my dream.
So let go my friends. Let's do this together. And we must never give up no
matter how many challenges come our way...

Now on monday I will start my contest prep to Atlantic City Pro. Today my
weight was 95 kilos and it feels quite good! But I gotta say that it has not
been that easy to keep my motivation up after my last contest at Pittsburgh.
Some days have been good and I ve felt myself like HULK but then some days have been much worse, I ve felt tired and somehow feeling that I was 60 years old , mostly because I ve had pains everywhere and felt a bit overtrained, body
needed rest! But I ve tried to fight and done things as well as I ve been able
to. But anyway, everything is now quite OK.
My goal keeps me motivated. My placing at Pittsburgh makes me to give a new
try to qualify to Olympia -202 class. And now everything should be even better.
Like I said, I will start my prep in a few days and I will do all and
everything, I will give my 100% to get into best shape of my life. Then it is
judges' job to decide the result and I hope I am good enough this time. But if
I wont achieve my goal so I won't die, I will try again and again, work even
harder and become better and better, and then finally achieve my goal.
Keep training hard, thats what I ll do!

Now it´s almost seven weeks since my latest competition. I didn´t have much of a
rest afterwards, only two weeks and then I was on the go again. At the moment I plan start dieting within three weeks, Atlantic City Pro is on the schedule!
Atlantic Pro will take place on the 11th of September and my diet will last 10 weeks. This is abit shorter time than usual, mostly because of the fact that I haven´t increased so much in fat, only up till 93 kgs. And I´m in much better shape than I was previously at the same weight. This will be the ultimate competition qualifying for Mr Olympia and I have to finish top three to be able to participate in Mr O 202 lb.
My goal is to weigh in on at least 85 kgs, like I did last time, and to be in better shape! Not that I was out of shape in any sense in Pittsburgh Pro, but if you want to be at the front line, you do have to be extremely fit without a single detail missing.
And I promise you all that I´ll do my very best, so keep your fingers crossed!
All the best from

Now I am again home after lots of travelling around and it just feels
incredible good to let my body rest and recover after all travelling during the
last weeks. On Thursday I was in Norrköping visiting Ingmar Davidsson,
Proteinfabrikken's VD, and was there at his daughter's funeral who sadly passed
away couple of weeks ago. It was a very beautiful and emotional ceremony in a
On Friday I travelled to Finland, Helsinki, to be ready for Saturday's
photoshooting with a professionall photographer Mike Sirén. Photoshooting took
a bit over 3 hours and the result of it was really good. Besides shooting at
gym, we had plans to take some photos outside but the weather ruined our plans
so we had to forget that. But anyway I am really satisfied with gym photos. You
can see some of those photos in Finland's ProBody magazine in a few months.
Now I will take one week totally OFF in training and just rest, and of course
work a bit, take it easy and enjoy my time with family and after that, new
